ID8R helps you create personal websites. This policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and what control you have over your data. We've kept it in plain language on purpose.
What We Collect
Account information
- Your name and email address (provided at signup)
- Authentication details (password or Google sign-in)
- Subscription and billing status (managed by our payment provider)
Your content
- Pages you create — including text, links, images, and design settings
- Uploaded files (avatars, gallery images, product images)
Usage data
- We track basic page analytics (views, link clicks, device type, referring site, country) to help you understand how your pages are performing
- We generate anonymous identifiers to understand usage patterns. We do not store IP addresses or any personally identifiable analytics data ourselves
How We Use Your Data
We use the information we collect to:
- Provide, maintain, and improve the ID8R service
- Create and host your pages
- Process your subscription and billing
- Show you how your pages are performing (analytics dashboard)
- Communicate with you about your account when necessary
We do not sell your data to anyone.
Your Content & Visibility
Published pages are public. When you publish a page, anyone with the link can view it. This includes all content on that page — text, images, links, and media embeds.
Unpublished pages are private.Draft or unpublished pages are only visible to you when you're signed in.
Your account details (email, billing information) are never displayed publicly.
Third-Party Services
We use trusted third-party services to run ID8R. These services may process certain data according to their own privacy policies:
- Hosting & storage — our hosting provider processes requests and stores uploaded files
- Database — your account and page data is stored in a managed database
- Payments — subscription billing is handled by Lemon Squeezy, who processes your payment information directly
- Authentication — if you sign in with Google, your basic profile information is shared with us by Google
- Analytics — we use Google Analytics to understand overall site usage. Google may process data according to their privacy policy
- AI page generation — when you create a page from a URL, the content of that URL is sent to an AI service to generate your page layout
- Embeds — if your page includes Spotify or YouTube content, those services may set their own cookies and collect data according to their own policies
Cookies
We use a small number of cookies to make ID8R work:
Essential cookies
These are required for basic functionality — keeping you signed in, remembering your onboarding progress, and similar core features. They cannot be disabled without breaking the app.
Analytics cookies
We use Google Analytics to understand how people use ID8R overall. These cookies help us see general trends (e.g. which pages are visited most) but are not essential for the app to work.
Third-party cookies
If your page includes embedded content (like Spotify or YouTube), those services may set their own cookies within their embed frames. We don't control these cookies.
Data Retention & Deletion
We keep your data for as long as your account is active. If you request account deletion:
- Your account enters a short grace period so you can change your mind
- After the grace period, your account, all pages, uploaded files, and associated data are permanently deleted
- Analytics data linked to your pages is also removed
Aggregated, anonymous usage statistics (which cannot identify you) may be retained.
Your Control
You're in control of your data on ID8R. You can:
- Delete your account — this permanently removes all your pages, content, and uploaded files
- Control visibility — choose whether your pages are published (public) or kept as private drafts
- Edit or remove content — update, replace, or delete any content on your pages at any time
- Manage your subscription — view, update, or cancel your billing through your account settings
Security
We take reasonable measures to protect your data, including encrypted connections (HTTPS), secure authentication, and access controls. No system is perfectly secure, but we work to keep your information safe.
